Project Redesign is an incentive-based program providing room “redesigns” for deserving families, helping them with their lifestyle and interior spaces. We also help families in immediate crisis, partially or fully furnishing their apartments. Our primary focus is the James Cayce Homes, Nashville’s largest and most at risk public housing development, and we are partnering with the Martha O’Bryan Center to launch this exciting new program.

Our committee collects donations of gently-used household items and furniture, gift certificates, or cash. All contributions are tax deductible through the Martha O’Bryan Center. Receipts and pick-up are provided.

Thank you IDS for a fabulous redesign. These generous designers measured the room, drew up a floor plan, gathered, built, reupholstered, and even held a bake sale to raise money for the extras to complete the job! Wow!

About Martha O'Bryan Center...

Martha O’Bryan Center (MOBC) On a foundation of Christian faith, the Martha O’Bryan Center empowers children, youth, and adults in poverty to transform their lives through work, education employment, and fellowship. The Martha O’Bryan Center was founded in 1894, when Miss O’Bryan, a retired teacher, organized the Gleaners Society at First Presbyterian Church to work with Nashville’s needy. In 1948, MOBC began operating at the current site in the James Cayce Homes.
